OUTDOOR LIFE
Indoor Cats Live Longer. They Don't Always Live Better.
The first time Chagall stood on grass she did not move for ninety seconds. On harness training, outdoor time, and the part of cat health nobody schedules.

FELINE LORE
Live long. Live well. Live beautifully.
MY MISSION
My mission is to help cats live longer, healthier, more vibrant lives by sharing what I have learned over nearly three decades of living with, rescuing, and caring for cats across four continents.
I also hope to help you see your own cat a little differently. Not simply as a pet, but as an extraordinary individual who is always telling you something through her behavior, her habits, and her instincts.
For me, longevity is measured in curiosity, comfort, resilience, confidence and playfulness. It is measured in the quiet joy of a cat who greets each morning still interested in the world around her.
READ MY MISSIONTHE PHILOSOPHY
A cat's health is written into the ordinary conditions of her days. The air she breathes, the water she drinks, the materials beneath her paws, the light that reaches her favorite corner. Nothing here is separate from her longevity. It is the foundation of it.

II
She lives close to the floor and grooms whatever she touches. Unscented cleaning, daily fresh air and fewer synthetic fragrances protect the lungs she will need for twenty years.
III
Hydration is the quietest longevity practice in the house. Glass or ceramic, wide and shallow, poured fresh, placed where she actually chooses to drink.
IV
Wool, linen, solid wood, ceramic and stone. Honest materials age well, ask less of the planet, and give her nothing she should not be breathing or licking.
V
Height, light, warmth and a view of something that moves. A home arranged with intention keeps a cat curious, and curiosity is what carries her into old age.

THE VOICE BEHIND THE JOURNAL
Nearly three decades of living with, rescuing and observing cats across four continents, and several of them well past twenty years old. What I write here comes from that: close observation, careful research, and practical wisdom earned slowly.

LONGEVITY
Every household has an hour that belongs entirely to the cat. Learning to recognise it, and to yield to it, changes the whole day.
